A black tie affair made for Austin’s best!

We had the pleasure to be part of Austin’s Under 40 Awards ceremony this month! This is the 22nd year that the gala was organized to celebrate emerging Austinites and to celebrate their success. There were 17 winners that stood out from their colleagues, ranging from from architecture and culinary art to legal work and education.

For the 750 guests in attendance, we knew having two photo booths were a no-brainer. We organized our portrait booth in the entryway of the gala and our selfie station at the VIP after party so we could have guests maximize their experience! The attendees were crazy about the portrait booth the entire event! From the second we set up the booth to when we were tearing down and packing it up, we had a line of guests eager to take their photo! The garden party themed allowed us be creative with the floral overlay of our selfie station images, paired with our streamer and balloon installation. We partnered with Austin Flower Walls for their backdrop with our portrait booth and had everyone asking if the flowers were real or not the entire night!

We had such a blast at this years gala and we’re looking forward to the next event! Congratulations to all the winners!

Valentines? We thought you said Galentines

Valentine’s Day is quickly becoming one of our favorite holidays! Cupid’s holiday is all about sharing the love through cards, flowers, and candy (which is what we’re really excited about, honestly). This year, one of our clients wanted a twist on the traditional holiday. Instead of celebrating Valentine’s Day, they channeled their inner Leslie Knope to celebrate Galentine’s Day in a big way! We had an opportunity to document TLR’s Galentine’s Day Event at the Four Seasons. The ladies were pampered with massages, makeup touch ups and hair styling stations. They were so excited to document their new look! Instead of using one overlay for our photos as we usually do, we created six overlays to give guests the option of transforming their image into different conversation candy hearts, and it really takes us back to our elementary days of homemade Valentine’s boxes and picking the perfect card for our best friends. We doubled down on the conversation heart theme and turned the nostalgic candy hearts into custom props to make it a unique experience for our clients. The iconic duo of overlay and props had us swooning for more events like this!

Feathers & Frosting Cake Tasting Event

Cake for breakfast? Sign us the heck up.

We’ve done two cake tasting events for Danae at Feathers and Frosting, and without fail we always leave with a car seat full of cake on the drive home (most of which won’t make it past the end of the week). We were so excited to be a part of this event and work alongside such amazing vendors. We knew we wanted to use the white brick wall as the photo booth backdrop for our selfie station set up. We’re big supporters fo a sleek and simple aesthetic. Between photos and boomerangs, the boomerangs were the crowd favorite, and guests decided to use the faux cakes as props!

Fun and Flirty Galentine's Brunch Styled Shoot | Austin Photo Booth

We are so excited to share some fun photo booth images from this styled shoot we did for Galentine's Day! We have an unhealthy obsession with Parks and Rec and just knew we needed to do a brunch shoot this year, and we managed to pull it all together in less than two weeks with lots of help from some amazing vendors.
