Gold Shimmer Photo Booth for Erin and Alan’s Springdale Station Wedding Reception in Austin, Texas

Can a wedding have too much greenery? We think the answer is no, and we’re so glad that Erin and Alan agree. Their beautiful Springdale Station wedding was dripping in greenery, from the heart-shaped alter to the hanging greenery and rose chandeliers. It was breathtaking!

Lovelily Flowers killed it with the amazing florals for this wedding! Check out the gorgeous wreaths that the bridesmaids held as they walked down the aisle. They are such a unique touch, and we love that they reused them as decor for the reception.

We added to the night with our gold shimmer photo booth, which perfectly matched the couple’s color scheme. The photo booth was a great place for guests to escape when they needed a break from the dance floor but still wanted to have fun. Plus, the booth gives the bride and groom a moment alone together during the business of the day.

You can even spot the booth shimmering in the background of some of the dancing photos. We’ve said it all along: our luxury backdrops make your event look better!

From the amazing photos from Nikk Nguyen Photo, you can tell that Erin and Alan’s guests had a great time. They danced the night away, played cornhole, and enjoyed some delicious gin and tonics.

Best wishes to the bride and groom! Looking for a custom photo booth for your next Austin area event? Let’s chat!

Roaming Photography For Rachel and Garrison’s Wedding at Horseshoe Bay Resort Near Austin, Texas

Did you know that we offer roaming photography? That’s right, we can take our photo booth on the move!

With roaming photography, one of our attendants captures photos of your guests throughout your event. Instead of your guests going to the photo booth, the photo booth goes to them. After our attendant snaps a photo, your guests can instantly email it from the tablet to their phones and post it to social media!

Roaming photography is great for corporate events to increase guest engagement and brand visibility. However, Rachel and Garrison’s big day at Horseshoe Bay Resort near Austin, Texas shows how well it works for weddings too!

At weddings, we’ve found that guests love the ease of roaming photography, and they’re always excited to smile for a photo. Plus, you get amazing photos that show off your venue and your guests enjoying your wedding.

We love how candid roaming photography feels at weddings! It reminds us of when couples used to leave disposable cameras on tables so that guests could capture the wedding from their eyes. Seeing your wedding from your guest's perspective adds a really fresh element to event photography. Plus, you can see the photos instantly and relive the whole experience!

Rachel and Garrison’s wedding was perfect for roaming photography because the venue already offered a gorgeous backdrop for photos. We’re obsessed with all the floral details, like the hanging greenery and initial wreath.

Congrats to the happy couple! Want to book roaming photography for your next event? Contact us today.

Luxurious Black Photo Booth for Meredith and Zach’s Wedding at the Historic Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas

Meredith and Zach became Mr. and Mrs. Rehmert on August 14, 2021, at the historic Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas! We love historic venues because they add so much character and charm to wedding receptions.

When it came time to choose their photo booth options, our black sequin backdrop was a no-brainer to match the upscale and classy setting at the Driskill. It’s the perfect backdrop for a black-tie affair!

Meredith and Zach’s wedding had so many jaw-dropping elements. From the romantic three-tier cake to the absolutely stunning floral arrangements, it was breathtaking. The bouquets and one-of-a-kind floral arrangements were courtesy of Bouquets of Austin, who always create impactful masterpieces.

The bride and groom put together the sweetest personalized gifts to welcome their guests to Austin. We love when the couple goes the extra mile to take care of their people! The gifts were complete with personalized Driskill Hotel cozies, custom cookies, and of course, bottles of Topo Chico and Tito’s. Nothing says welcome to the capital of Texas better than that.

Jenny DeMarco, an Austin photographer we love to work with, captured all of the details of the wedding beautifully. Take a look below and be prepared for your jaw to drop!

Congratulations to the happy couple - it was an honor to be part of your wedding! Looking for a luxury photo booth for your upcoming event? Contact us today so we can chat!

Jaron and Amber’s Timeless and Intimate Wedding at Prospect House in Dripping Springs, Texas

We love an elegant affair, and that’s exactly how Jaron and Amber’s wedding at Prospect House in Dripping Springs, Texas felt. From the champagne flute seating chart to the natural wood tableware, this wedding had a timelessness that never goes out of style.

With long light-wood tables decorated with naturalistic elements like greenery and neutral chiffon runners, the reception felt like an intimate family dinner. The family style pizza dinner by Fire and Slice added a cozy touch, and you can tell from the gorgeous photos by Nikk Nguyen that Jaron and Amber’s guests were immediately at ease and having fun.

For the photo booth, the couple opted to skip a backdrop and use the clean white shiplap wall instead. We personally love this choice because all of the photos match the aesthetic of the reception venue perfectly.

Offering flexible and customizable options is one of the things we do best at Oh Happy Day Booth. If your venue already has a great spot for a photo booth without a backdrop, we say go for it! We think it was the perfect choice for Jaron and Amber’s timeless wedding.

However, just because a wedding is timeless and elegant doesn’t mean it’s not a party. Thanks to DJ Byrne Rock, the happy couple and their guests ruled the dance floor for hours.

We wish Jaron and Amber all the best! To customize a perfect photo booth for your wedding, party, or corporate event, get in touch today!

Ally and Daniel's wedding

This is what champagne and sequin dreams are made of!

We had the best time with Ally and Daniel on their big day at Brodie Homestead! The dance floor was packed all night and you know we love a great dance party! The guests were having the time of their life on the dance floor and creating their own dance battles and we’re here for it. But we’re cheeseburger fans until we die and one of our favorite details was how the couple incorporated Whataburger table tents for their seating chart to help guests find their tables! Uhhh yes please!

Our photo booth had a line from the moment it opened to the moment it closed. If the guests weren’t dancing, they were taking photos in the booth! We paired our portrait booth with our large gold sequin backdrop and decided on a 4x6 layout. The groom is a firefighter and they wanted to tie that theme into their overlay. We love how it paired with the champagne backdrop! Congratulations to Ally and Daniel!

We love designing your overlay with your wedding theme or something very unique and special to you! Curious to learn more? Email our sales team Kati@ohhappydaybooth.com!

Hotel Ella Styled Shoot

We were struck with inspiration to create a streamer backdrop and immediately knew we wanted to reach out to some of Austin’s best vendors to collaborate on a styled shoot. Styled shoots are a great opportunity for vendors to show off their skills and push their creative limit! As an Austin based company, we decided there was no better way to collaborate on a blog than to get insight from each participating Austin-native vendor and detail their personal experience and what element they enjoyed the most!

To start with designing the shoot, we first partnered with Paige form Paige Vaughn Photography and Kiersten from Lovely Day Events. Right away Paige knew she wanted to incorporate bright colors in this shoot and the trio inspired to find a balance between that bright color inspo, elegance and fun! Paige noted, “There are so many motifs that are overdone, it was refreshing to create something true to all of our brands!” Paige’s favorite element was the lighthearted balloons, the amazing florals, the citrus-tiered cake done by Feathers and Frosting, and the ease of photographing her actual clients. She made a note that “everyone came together with very high-level inspiration and truly showed up with stellar interpretations of a colorful summer themed shoot.” The inspiration of the shoot left her excited about shooting elegant, fun weddings for future clients!

Kiersten took Paige’s idea of a very bold colored pallet and created a mood board for a Palm Springs Mid-Century styled shoot and the vendors brought it to life. We chose to shoot at Hotel Ella because of it’s elegant and sophisticated style. Heather, the venue manager, stated “the property alone can make you feel inspired and imaginative.” And we truly could not agree more! She chose to work with us because she wanted to partner with influential event and vendor professionals to not only showcase the breathtakingly unique property but to also build positive, collaborative relationships with the industry leaders. She also made a note that bringing in influential vendors not only makes a vision come to life, but also fosters connections that are mutually beneficial and in the distinctive spirit of Ella.

Besides the incredible location, one of the favorite parts about the shoot was that the modeled couple is engaged and will be married later this year! It was clear to see that their love was genuine and it was easy to be put on display, which made all of our jobs easy. When Paige approached the couple with the opportunity to be part of a styled shoot, they knew they were in good hands. “[Paige’s] infectious personality inspired me to participate in this creative endeavor,” Melissa, the bride wearing Unbridaled, states. She adds, “My fiancé and I have a few more months until OUR big day, and sharing this experience with Paige definitely took the pressure off, it was so much fun!” Melissa noted that her favorite element of the shoot was not necessarily something material, but the collaboration of all the talented and passionate entrepreneurs working together in synchronicity to create this vision.

bride and groom photos

As for the groom, James? He liked the idea of practicing taking photos before their big day. “Like a lot of guys, I’m not crazy about taking pictures. I don’t have Instagram and my Facebook hasn’t been updated in months. However, this was a really great and unique opportunity for us because we will be getting married in a few months and we thought that this would be good practice,” he said. He also assured us that his wedding photos will turn out great after this experience.

Of course the couple is extremely photogenic, but our team was completely blown away by Melissa’s elegant glam, all done by Mission Stylehouse. When asked what inspired Michelle, Mission’s artist, on the look she did for the bride she guaranteed she did her research and knew it would come together beautifully! Michelle made a note that her goal is to make brides feel like the “best version of themself”, by pulling together a natural, but sophisticated look. She did this by, “enhancing her eyes with lashes [and] used gold tones on the lids and a natural lip. [Because] her dress was a bit classic with a few more modern elements [we had] her hairstyle mirror that theme. In the front we did a more classic face framing finger wave, but pulled it all to one side. The ends were left out, or straight for a modern and casual feel. The back was twisted at the nape for a creative twist” and she truly was a stunner. Michelle definitely made the modeled bride the best version of herself for this shoot!

There’s no wedding without a perfectly executed invitation, right? Shannon, the graphic designer for The Inviting Pear, is familiar with color trends throughout the year, but was pleased to be part of a shoot that wasn’t a current trend. “When we learned of the Palm Springs inspiration, we were excited to incorporate some color”, she said. “By incorporating the coral, yellow and mint colors in the envelopes and envelope liner, the invitation suite still looks elegant and modern but with a fun twist.” As if her design wasn’t wow-worthy enough, the vellum and acrylic of the stationary really made the invites stand out from a typical cardstock invite.

All of our vendors were crushing on the bold colors for this shoot. Kari, from The Flower Girl was no exception. She’s always enjoyed working with designs that include a lot of bright colors and texture. When she was approached by Kiersten for the shoot, she “was eager and knew it was an awesome opportunity!” Kari also noted that everyone was full of ideas and worked together to achieve a truly fun and inspirational design. James from Birch and Brass mentioned how the poolside backdrop paired with the florals, décor, cake and signage made it a beautiful place to host a vibrant and summery ceremony. He also loved how their tabletop pieces were used in this fun-loving photo shoot!

Everything tied together from the colors and aesthetics to the location and detailed pieces. We loved being part of this shoot and showcasing our talent!

The power of a sponsored photo booth

Let us paint a picture you may be familiar with: You’ve got some killer ideas for your event and you know a photo booth would be the perfect addition, but you’ve got a tight budget for entertainment. You had photo booth company do your event for free last year, but you really felt like your event was put on the back burner, and they aren’t available to do it again for free. You’re back at square one and don’t want to have to ask more people to work for free.

You need a sponsor. The great news is, you know of a third party company that would be the perfect sponsor to promote their brand at your event. All of your guests fit perfectly into this company’s target demographics. But where do you start to begin securing that company as a sponsor? That is where we come in.

Follow these five simple steps to lock in a sponsor and create a mutually beneficial relationship that won’t have your event taking a hit.

  • First thing we recommend is creating and booking your ideal photo booth package with Oh Happy Day Booth. You can see all of our services and add ons, starting with our portrait booth, here. We suggest adding a custom vinyl wrap, a custom start screen, email capturing and digital sharing analytics to track the audience to ensure maximum return on investment and brand visibility. By adding these options, you’ve now curated a marketing tool for your future sponsor. They’ll thank you later, trust us.

  • Once you’ve created your ideal package, double your cost of renting the booth. By doing this, you’ve now created a profit margin that will help with your organization’s funding. Not only are you able to cover the cost of the photo booth rental, you’ll profit off our services, which makes this a win-win-win for everyone. We suggest adding in additional sponsorship incentives such as logo placement on signage, hyperlinks on your website, complimentary tickets to your event, announcing their services at your event, and social media mentions. While these incentives have little associated cost, they hold a lot of value for a sponsor.

  • After you’ve created an incentive deal that a photo booth sponsor will benefit from, identify the demographics of the guests attending the event. You’ll want to know the statistical data relating to the population of your event, especially for your future event partners. This is important because when you know your demographics, you can then determine what type of company would benefit most from marketing to your guests.

  • Since you now know your demographics and which company would benefit from the audience, start contacting companies and find the decision maker on staff regarding marketing or sponsorship opportunities. Explain your photo booth sponsorship package, and all it’s associated benefits. It is a huge marketing tool to amp up their business, and let them know that they would be the exclusive photo booth sponsor. Fancy! We suggest reaching out to more than one company that could potentially sponsor your event. If you already have a lead from another sponsorship in the past, or know of a company that has been interested in working with your organization, start there!

  • Once you have a strong lead, that responded and said they are interested in learning more, let them know we can create a mockup so they can visualize the experience. We can create a branded photo overlay for the print outs, show them digital analytics from past events, and design their vinyl wrap with their logo so they’ll know exactly what they’re benefitting from supporting your event. This will seal the deal for the sponsorship package.

A few examples photo booth experiences that have involved sponsors are below! Art Bra Austin is annually hosted by the Breast Cancer Research Center, and in 2018 they had two sponsors: Snyder Plastic Surgeons sponsored the roaming photography and selfie station and Texas Oncology sponsored the Portrait Booth. Together, these sponsors and the host benefited from the event and it was a hit for all the attendees as well!

To see another idea of what your logo would look like on a photo overlay at a sponsored event, check out this blog.

We’ve had success with our simple five step process and we know you will too! Interested in learning more? Contact our sales team today at kati@ohhappydaybooth.com.
